Rootka keeps working even without network, in the wild or in dead zones.
Background GPS
GPS tracking stays active even when the app is in the background or the screen is locked. GPS checkpoints are validated automatically with a local notification — you don't need to hold your phone.
Offline mode
In areas without network, every checkpoint validation is stored locally in a queue. As soon as connectivity returns, sync happens automatically. No data is lost.
Enriched points of interest
The creation and discovery map displays outdoor points of interest from specialized databases: shelters, water sources, viewpoints, trailhead parking and more. Place your checkpoints at the best spots.
Push notifications
Get notified when a runner completes one of your courses. Stay informed about activity on your creations without opening the app.
